Nurten came to the UK fleeing persecution in Bosnia. She was guided to JAN Trust by an adult learning centre. Nurten enrolled on an ESOL and a Fashion & Design course. Once she had completed the training she was able to gain a role as a supervisor at a clothes factory. Using the training from JAN Trust and her work experience, she was able to secure a role as a tutor in Fashion & Design at a College. She has recently completed a course in becoming a teacher.
