Youth are an important aspect of any community especially in Haringey which is one of the most diverse boroughs in the UK. We believe the youth play a vital part in any community and are our future leaders which is why we provide them with a variety of activities to promote, encourage, develop and nurture them into well rounded responsible citizens of our country.
We run a regular successful youth club which is popular amongst both local youth and youth from the surrounding boroughs.

A weekly discussion forum takes place during the weekend giving young people an opportunity to discuss and learn about issues that affect them. JAN Trust is located in a borough of high deprivation, high unemployment and soaring crime rates. Furthermore, a large number of young people in the area come from immigrant, asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds. The youth club has been a source of constant support and guidance for these youth who have often felt marginalised or found it difficult to integrate into the wider society.
The Youth Club promotes greater understanding between youth from various racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds through its activities. This helps to alleviate the common misconceptions and conflict arising from such divide.
The youth have different volunteer roles and plan and organise the activities themselves. Not only does this boost their confidence, it develops their skills and experiences.
The youth club provides a range of activities including:
"We have learnt so much since we started coming to the youth club. We enjoy coming here and doing different things and we’ve made so many friends. I don’t know what I would be doing if I did not have the support of this service."
