JAN Trust aims to empower women giving them the opportunity to tackle and overcome the barriers to inclusion which are identified by women themselves as lack of English languages skills; lack of opportunities to learn in culturally appropriate settings; inability to access employment opportunities; lack of official status in the country; immigration issues; poverty; poor housing; isolation; depression; racism and discrimination (including religious discrimination); abusive homes; family breakdown and a lack of family support and structure.
We have developed the services to our clients focusing on social; educational; training; employment; health; women's rights; childcare and support measures in order to promote self confidence and self esteem leading to enhanced aspirations, community cohesion and cultural harmony.
